World Brain Tumour Day | Aged Care Australia | GIHC
Today we’re raising awareness for world brain tumour day. A tumour is a mass of tissue which has formed due to an accumulation of abnormal cells. Brain tumours can be either malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous).
Due to the high mortality rate, it’s very important to know what the symptoms so it can be detected early and get treated as soon as possible.
Brain tumours often manifest symptoms such as headaches, alterations in speech or hearing, seizures, difficulties with balance and walking, and sensations of numbness or tingling in the arms or legs. Other indicators of brain tumours can include challenges with recollection and changes in vision or personality.
